  1. The Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) is inviting potential bidders to supply Laptops, Ipads, Cellphones and Bags  and provide the Internet Services contained in the tender documents listed above
  2. A complete set of the bidding documents containing the required qualification their terms of reference may be purchased by interested bidders or their representatives at a non-refundable fee of MK5,000.00. Method of payment shall be Cash or Bank Certified Cheque payable to Malawi Electoral Commission
  3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures contained in the Public Procurement Act 2003 and Public Procurement Regulations of the government of the Republic of Malawi.
  4. It is the responsibility of each bidder to ensure that the tender(s) submitted is/are in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders contained in the tender documents, as noncompliance to the instructions will lead to disqualification and subsequent rejection of the tender.
  5. Bidding documents should be deposited in the tender box placed at the Reception Area – Ground Floor of Chisakho House, Malawi Electoral Commission Headquarters before 10th  August  2016 at 14:00 hours local time to the following address:

  1. Opening of bids shall start at 14.00hrs on 10th August 2016 in the Board Room of the Malawi Election Commission Headquarters, and all interested bidders or their representative are welcome to witness the opening.
  2. Malawi Electoral Commission does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender but reserves the right to exercise choice of lowest evaluated and substantially responsive bid. The Commission further reserves right to cancel the whole or in part of the procurement proceeding at any stage.
