Job Purpose

To plan, develop and implement the Civic and Voter Education that will contribute to the successful delivery of free, fair and credible elections in Malawi.

 

Job Functions/Duties

  • Plan and recommend Civic and Voter Education strategies and programmes to the Commission.
  • Participate in the review, development and implementation of Civic and Voter Education programmes.
  • Oversee the implementation and delivery of Civic and Voter Education materials.
  • Oversee the designing of Civic and Voter Education materials using computer packages.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders on Civic and Voter Education matters.
  • Identify, set criteria and recommend Civic and Voter Education service providers to the Commission.
  • Identify various target groups for Civic and Voter Education. 
  • Recommend for training of Civic and Voter Education Officers and stakeholders.
  • Supervise and develop Civic and Voter Education manuals.
  • Provide Civic and Voter Education feedback to the Commission.
  • Secretary to the Civic and Voter Education Committee.
  • Report to the Commission on the impact and effectiveness of Civic and Voter Education Strategies, Programmes and Materials.  Develop programmes for continuous Civic and Voter Education   Supervise staff in the department.
  • Conduct evaluation research on matters of civic and voter education.
  • Prepare Election Budgets.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation Civic and Voter Education programmes.

 

Qualification

Bachelors degree in Education, Social Sciences, Administration or its equivalent.  

 

Competencies and Skills

Managerial, Leadership, Analytical, Communication, Presentation andComputer skills.
