Director of Internal Audit

Geoffrey Mbawala joined MEC in February 2013 from NICO General Insurance Company where he worked as Finance Manager. He is a Certified Internal Auditor with The Institute of Internal Auditors, fellow Certified Accountant with Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from University of Malawi. He started his career with Deloitte and Touche as a Junior Accountant then Malawi Rural Finance Company as a Branch Accountant before proceeding to Malawi Telecommunications Limited as Audit Senior before assuming the role of Compliance Manager with NICO Holdings Limited.
